报告摘要:

We summarize the previous lecture by comparison with experiment singlet-triplet transitions in N2: Vegard-Kaplan, Wu-Benesh and Ogawa-Tanaka-Wilkinson bands systems, which are induced by spin-orbit coupling (SOC) as electric-dipole emission and absorption. Than, the magnetic dipole transition moments are  calculated and analyzed for the first time in our new lecture: the weak Wilkinson absorption, the Lyman-Berge-Hopfield 0–0 band a1Πg←X1Σg+ in absorption with oscillator strength f0–0=7.24˟10–6. The growth of magnetic strength of the a1Πg→X1Σg+ transition and the decrease of its quadrupole moment with internuclear distance are notable. We shall also estimate a new quadrupole transition a1Πg→B3Πg,1. Accounting for SOC, this transition moment  origins in difference in the permanent quadrupole moments of these two states. Finally, the Dressler-Lutz a"1Σg+–X1Σg+quadrupole transition in the far UV absorption region (101 nm) with peculiar anisotropy will be calculated.
