In order to make full use of global high-quality educational resources, promote the improvement of talents training global competence, and help the school's "double first-class" construction, with the strong support of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Jilin University, the online academic workshop of "development and challenges of international large-scale light source devices", was officially started from August 21 to 26,2021.

This academic workshop was conducted in the form of online academic reports and academic seminars. Professor M. Meyer, head of the European X-ray Free Electron Laser Device (European XFEL) line station, Professor A.K.Samanta, the head of the research team of the Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY), Dr. T. Dmajnović of the University of Basel, Switzerland, and researchers of XFEL and DESY large scientific installations gave wonderful academic lectures for teachers and students of the Institute.They mainly discuss the development of X-ray light source devices and the frontier research progress of large scientific devices in atomic, molecular and photophysics. A total of 150 people attended the academic lectures, and the faculties and students had a warm exchange and discussion with the experts. The successful holding of this academic workshop not only improved the understanding of facultiess and students about the international most advanced large scientific devices, enhanced the ability to participate in the international cutting-edge scientific research, but also strengthened international scientific research exchanges and cooperation, and greatly promoted the cultivation of International talents in atomic and molecular physics related fields.
