CV of Prof. Yu-Xiang Weng: Prof. Yu-Xiang Weng obtained his Doctor Degree on Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, after that, he joined the group in the department of chemistry at the University of Hong Kong and the group in the department of chemistry at Emory University as a university post doctor. Now He is a professor and doctoral supervisor in Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2009, he won the Outstanding Young Investigator Award. He has mainly worked on ultrafast spectroscopy of quantum coherent state energy transfer in the photosynthetic and simulation system, transient spectroscopy of photocatalysis mechanism of semiconductor, protein folding kinetics investigated by nanosecond time-resolved transient spectroscopy. He developed a transient femto-second time-resolved fluorescence spectrometer with independent intellectual property rights by photon-to-photon amplification based on the principle of noncollinear optical parametric amplifier. Setting up a femtosecond time-resolved two-dimensional coherent electronic spectrometer and femtosecond time resolved transient spectrum (visible to mid infrared)and temperature-jump time-resolved mid-IR spectroscopy, he developed a powerful time-resolved transient spectroscopy in characterizing the midgap state energy levels of different kinds of photocatalytic nanomaterials. He has published over 90 papers on J. Am. Chem. Soc., PRL, AngewChem int., Biophy. J., J. Phys. Chem. B, Scientific Reports, Rev. Sci. Instruments and other journals.
