Abstract:

The reaction scattering differential cross section directly reflects the quantum state population, translational energy distribution and scattering angle distribution of the product molecule. Therefore, the accurate measurement of state to state differential cross section is an important goal of quantum dynamics experimental research of gas phase reaction. Through the vacuum ultraviolet ultraviolet near threshold ionization method, combined with the ion velocity image detection technology of time slice, we accurately measured the differential cross sections of elementary chemical reaction products such as H + HD and F + HD in the molecular scattering experiment, and obtained the high-resolution state angle distribution information of the products. These state to state dynamics results are of great significance to explore the geometric phase, spin orbit partial wave quantum interference and other effects in elementary chemical reactions, and to deeply understand the quantum dynamics of elementary chemical reactions.

Introduction:

Wang Xingan, professor and doctoral supervisor of the University of science and technology of China, winner of the science fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The near threshold ionization technology of gaseous products is developed, and the high-resolution measurement of state to state differential cross section of chemical reaction is realized; The geometric phase effect in chemical reaction is observed, which reveals the unique role of geometric phase in chemical reaction; The quantum interference behavior of spin orbit partial wave in chemical reaction is observed, which shows that spin orbit interaction can effectively affect the micro dynamics of chemical reaction. The research results are published in science, nature chemistry, nature communications and other journals. As the project leader, he once undertook the national key R & D plan project of the Ministry of science and technology, and participated in the strategic leading science and technology project (b) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as the subject leader.
