Introduction:
Rao Yi, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Utah State University, USA. In 2003, he graduated from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences with a Ph.D. After graduation, he joined the Eisenthal research group of the Department of Chemistry at Columbia University for three years of postdoctoral research.
Subsequently, he worked as an Associate Research Scientist under the joint guidance of Professor Nicholas J. Turro and Professor Kenneth B. Eisenthal. In 2013, he joined the research group of Professor Tony F. Heinz of the Department of Physics of Columbia University for a year of research in materials science. Joined the Department of Chemistry of Temple University in 2014 and began independent research as a research associate professor. In 2017, he was hired as an assistant professor by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of Utah State University to establish his own independent research group. Research involves many fields such as ultrafast spectroscopy, surface science, photochemistry, materials science, and environmental science. In these fields, more than 40 papers have been published in famous journals such as Nature chemistry, PNAS, Nano letter, and JPC Letter.
