SEC&HUFL Held by IAMP

Youth symposium of "Electronic correlation and high harmonic generation in Ultrafast light field" held by IAMP. More than 20 scholars and some students, from Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, National University of Defense Technology, East China Normal University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Nankai University and Jilin University, attended the symposium.

The Ultrafast Atomic and Molecular Photonic Physics is a new discipline developed with the progress of ultrafast femtosecond laser technology. At present, it is one of the most active and newest study fields. The problem of electronic correlation and harmonic generation during the interactions of ultrafast femtosecond laser and gases is an important research subject in the Ultrafast Atomic and Molecular Photonic Physics. Using the attosecond pulse produced by the high harmonic generation, it is possible to directly observe and control the motion of electrons inside atoms and molecules. Supported by the National 973 Project “Controlling the interaction between ultrafast laser field and atomic molecule quantum states”, which is led by Prof.Ding Dajun (IAMP), Prof. Yang Yujun chaired the symposium and Prof. Liu Aihua extended warm welcome to all the attendees. Including Bian Xuebin, scholar of the one-hundred talent program and Youth thousand talents program, Dr. Wang Xu and Dr. Jin Cheng, scholar of Youth thousand talents program, more than 10 scholars made speeches on the theme of the symposium. The attendees discussed the research on electronic correlation and High Harmonic Generation in ultrafast laser field and the future development trend.

Learning more from each other and promoting exchanges and cooperation, the symposium provides a platform for youth researchers in this field to improve their comprehensive qualities and update their knowledge ,beyond that plays an important role in the further development of research.
